"Group of Fir Trees" Watercolor, 26x12	Bob Maurer's watercolor landscapes are painted in the tradition of the turn of the century tonalist painters, using delicately balanced compositions and muted colors to capture an atmospheric mood of a quiet, gentle landscape. His paintings are also influenced by his appreciation of the misty landscape compositions of the Sung Dynasty period of Chinese art.
"Tree in the Moonlight" Watercolor, 12x6	House portraits are another specialty of Bob's art; both in watercolors and in ink. With many years experience in producing quality works for builders and architects, he is able to render an architectural subject at its best, emphasizing the significant features of the building and the site while eliminating unwanted detractions from a scene.
